Custom Cabins June 2016 eNews
|
Summer has finally arrived in northern Minnesota, but
the beginning was cool and on some days even cold. As a matter
of fact were a few times there may even have been a few flakes of
snow!
But in spite of some generally foul weather, this
fisherman didn't seem to have trouble landing some big walleyes.
|
Well, the weather cleared but the temperatures were
still quite nippy when this great bass was landed.
|
Another great stringer of fish. The walleye
seemed to have sprung into action and our guests were taking
advantage of it.
|
One of our guests has a wonderful underwater camera
and captured this terrific picture of a bass he had hooked. We
think the detailed colors of the fish are superb.
|
Early one evening the same guest caught this picture
of our central dock. The upper part of the picture shows the sun just
above the horizon. For those of you who are familiar will
recognize the view of that going toward Prairie Portage, which is
more or less in a northerly direction. Yes, our sun does a very
wide swing from summer to winter.
|
This picture depicts the sun setting through the trees
from cabin number #4.
|
Because the sun is still about as far north as it can
get, and because of its reflection, the water appears to resemble a
red sea.
|
Even
though this is the June letter, we are sure people have not yet
forgotten about this year's annual 4th of July picnic that we hosted
at our "pool", which is more commonly referred to as Moose
Lake. It was a great party with perfect weather and lots and lots of
friends from here and from all over the country. Our guests arrived
both by land and by sea. Many friendships have been formed from this
event.
We
would like to invite you to join us for this and our other
gatherings.
We appreciate those of you who are kind enough to share
your pictures with us, but we are limited to eight pictures per
letter. However, we can add pictures to our Fishing page. So if you
don't find your picture in our newsletter, please check our Fishing
album.
